The Qur’ān’s eloquence operates as a unified system in which phonetics, morphology, grammar, semantics, pragmatics, and rhetorical devices work together to produce discourse that is spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally compelling. This book provides an analytical review of several English translations and identifies the challenges that must be addressed to enhance Qur’ānic translation and interpretation, ensuring that its message resonates more effectively with non‑Arabic audiences. The analysis focuses on a selected group of Sunni Muslim translations.The book also demonstrates how native Arabic speakers can benefit from consulting translations, particularly when encountering verses that contain archaic vocabulary or terms whose meanings have shifted since the time of revelation. A central aim of this work is to present a clear and comprehensive exposition of key rhetorical devices within Qur’ānic discourse. By examining selected verses as case studies, the book seeks to deepen the reader’s engagement with the Qur’ān’s sublime eloquence and to highlight the aesthetic and linguistic richness embedded in the revelation.
